Disney Resorts with Fireworks Views

Fireworks are returning to Disney World! All of the nighttime spectaculars shows like the Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After went on hiatus during the ongoing pandemic. With the 50th anniversary celebration upon us, new shows will be making their debut as Disney says farewell to their recent classics. Disney Enchantment will premier at the Magic Kingdom on October 1st. On the same day, Epcot Harmonious will grace the skies of World Showcase Lagoon. There is nothing better than watching these shows from inside the parks. I can almost guarantee you that tears will gush forth from eyes, and emotions will pull at heartstrings. Therefore, I highly recommend making an effort to catch these two shows first hand inside the parks.

If you want to catch them on more than one night of your vacation, you can choose to stay at a resort that offers rooms and/or dining options with fireworks views. Some of these resorts offer rooms with theme park views or locations around the resort with great viewing locations. Remember that the newest Disney fireworks shows include a lot of projections. You’ll miss out on those, but you’ll still get many fireworks action from the resorts.

Are you interested in Magic Kingdom fireworks? Choose one of the monorail resorts or even Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

  1. The Polynesian - The best place here is the beach! You’ll get a direct view of Cinderella Castle. Grab a Dole Whip and settle down for a great show.

  2. The Grand Floridian - The view here is a bit off-center but still fabulous! Pick a spot on the marina or all the way to the boat dock.

  3. The Contemporary - The fireworks view here comes from on high at the California Grill’s Observation Deck. You need to have a reservation or be a guest of the bar and lounge to access the deck. Be aware that the bar and lounge are first come/first serve. If you dined earlier in the evening and still want to access the observation deck, show your receipt to gain access. There is also an observation deck on the 4th floor that is open to the public and offers an outstanding view.

  4. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge - You can book a Nature Fireworks View at this resort. You’ll see the fireworks along with a glimpse of the Contemporary Resort to your left.

Harmonious will be debuting soon at Epcot. Your best bet to see this show outside the parks is the bridge connecting the Boardwalk Resort and Beach Club Resort.

No matter how you choose to catch these nighttime spectaculars, it will prove to be a wonderful experience!
