MORE MAGIC HAS RETURNED!
When I think of Disney, I think of Magic!!! Every time I step on Main Street U.S.A., I am overwhelmed with the magic I feel when I look down the street at the castle. This month is no exception with Disney news. As our country returns to more of a normal routine, so does Disney.
By the end of 2021, we have learned that all of the Disney World Resorts will once again be open to guests. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn recently reopened, the Polynesian Resort will be welcoming guests again beginning July 19th, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will reopen to guests on August 26th. Here is a list of the remaining resorts and the dates that they are set to reopen. Guests were able to start booking their stays on July 8th.
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort for arrivals beginning Sept. 16
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside for arrivals beginning Oct. 14
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter for arrivals beginning Oct. 28
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort for arrivals beginning Dec. 9

This past month, we saw “Happily Ever After” return to the Magic Kingdom & “Epcot Forever” return to Epcot in Orlando. Disneyland showed their guests the “Celebrate America” fireworks display on the west coast during the 4th of July week. Just watching the fireworks displays caused many of us to cry, get chills, and smile because of all the joy they gave us!
Restaurants reopening are another magical part of Disney. Some of our favorite restaurants have reopened or will be opening shortly. At Disney World, Casey’s Corner, Cape May Cafe, and Ohana will again serve Disney fans with some of the delicious foods we have been longing to eat. At Disneyland and California Adventure, Trader Sam’s Tiki Bar, Harbor Galley, Lucky Fortune Cookery, Mortimer’s Market, and Clarabelle’s Handscooped Ice Cream are just some of the guest favorites that are now in service once again.
In June, we found out that Disney World would be hosting Boo Bash instead of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween. This month, we found out that the Oogie Boogie Bash is returning to Disneyland Resort. Oogie Boogie will run from September 3rd - October 31st throughout Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. Disney will have transformed attractions like the Haunted Mansion Holiday & Guardians of the Galaxy-Monsters After Dark. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a new Halloween-themed pumpkin hunt, as well as decorative fall decor and holiday treats. Tickets for this event will be on sale beginning July 13th.
This month, we have also seen Disney allow guests and cast members to remove their masks in some areas of the parks; however, masks are still required on Disney transportation at this time. They have ended social distancing, temperature checks, plexiglass dividers have been removed, park capacity is being raised, and Disney is getting closer and closer to the normal that we all remember.
We hope this Disney news adds a little magic to your lives!
