Walt Disney World Monorail Resorts

If you're traveling to the Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Florida and want to be right in the middle of the “Disney Bubble,” you'll make no better choice than to stay at one of the three monorail loop resorts surrounding Seven Seas Lagoon. These resorts are Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

All three resorts offer transportation to the Magic Kingdom via the monorail, boats, and buses making it easy to get an early start at the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Contemporary Resort even offers a walking path, with a separate security line, to the park entrance! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is currently adding its own walking path to the front of the park and it should be open soon!

I highly recommend the monorail resorts for anyone who loves spending time at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. These resorts are an excellent choice because of the easy access in and out due to the shorter security lines, smaller crowds, and short commute.

Here are some of the top reasons why you should consider staying at one of the monorail loop resorts.

Monorail Transportation to Epcot

If it's your Epcot day, it's just as easy as getting to the Magic Kingdom. Simply take the resort monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once there, board the Epcot monorail for a short 10-minute ride to Epcot. If you are in the mood for Buses, those are available to take you to Epcot as well.

TRAVELLING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

I always recommend short afternoon nap breaks when you're visiting Disney with little kids and if you're staying at one of the monorail resorts, it's simple to do. Just make a quick park exit and return to your resort for an afternoon nap and when you're ready to return to the park for more fun, you can just as easily return to the park.

THEME PARK VIEWS AND FIREWORKS

All three Monorail loop resorts boast magnificent theme park views. If you're in the mood for fireworks but don’t want to leave the comfort of your resort, you can easily catch the show from a restaurant, the beaches, or even your room!

DON’T WRESTLE FOR SPACE ON THE BUS

If you enjoy watching the fireworks, or staying in the parks until they close, staying at one of the Monorail loop resorts means you won't be waiting for a bus or paying for a rideshare from the Magic Kingdom. Once again, you can beat the crowds and make a quick exit to the resort monorail and be home within minutes!

RESORT EXPLORING

You can also easily explore the other resorts or expand your dining and shopping options with a quick monorail ride. One trip around the loop takes approximately 15 minutes so even if you simply want to get out of your room, you can do it by taking a trip around the loop.

There are so many other reasons to stay at one of the three Monorail resorts but access to the Monorail for the speed and convenience of getting to and from the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are at the top of the list. Stay at one of these resorts just once, and you'll never stay anywhere else again!
